Platinum Perks, $600
Open a Platinum Perks Checking account with the code by January 15, 2027, deposit $25,000 or more in new money within 90 days, and keep the account open for 90 days. "New money" is money not already on deposit at Huntington. No direct deposit is required.
Qualifying deposit
"Regular, periodic ACH credits," such as payroll, salary, pension, or government payments. Excluded: Real-Time Payments, peer-to-peer payments through PayPal, Zelle, Venmo and the like, and transfers from another Huntington account.
Who is excluded
Existing Huntington personal checking customers, including anyone with a fiduciary relationship to one; anyone who closed a Huntington personal checking account in the last 12 months. Huntington reserves the right to limit a person to one account-opening incentive per rolling 24 months across all deposit relationships, business accounts included. Residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, or Wisconsin only.
Payout
Within 14 days of meeting the requirements, which include the 90-day open period, so no earlier than about day 104. The account must be open to receive it.
The fee
Perks: $10 a month, waived by $1,000 in total monthly deposits or a $5,000 total relationship balance. Platinum Perks: waived by a $25,000 total relationship balance, which the bonus requirement supplies.
Tax
Interest income, reported on a 1099-INT.

Two lanes, one 24-month rule

These are alternatives, not a pair. Huntington limits one incentive per person per rolling 24 months across every deposit relationship, so whichever account you open is the only Huntington bonus for two years. The choice is about cash: $600 for parking $25,000 for about 90 days is a yield of roughly 2.4 percent for the quarter, which is about 10 percent annualized, on top of whatever the balance earns elsewhere during the rest of the year. $400 for $500 in direct deposits is a better rate on the dollars but needs the deposit to code. On a $25,000 track the calendar runs the Platinum Perks lane in a quarter where the big cash is not committed elsewhere; smaller tracks run Perks.

The 90-day hold is part of the requirement

Huntington's terms make the 90-day open period a condition of the bonus, not a courtesy, and the 14-day payout clock starts after it. Expect the money around day 104 to 110, not within weeks of the deposit. Huntington also writes its abuse policy into the offer: open-and-close patterns can forfeit the bonus and close the account. The calendar's exit for this lane is a comfortable distance past payout.

The timeline, Perks lane

Net

$400 on $500 of deposits plus $1,000 cycled monthly for the waiver, or $600 on $25,000 parked for a quarter. Either way the account is open for about four months. How deposit classification works is its own page.

Whether your calendar runs Perks or Platinum Perks depends on the cash track you choose at checkout.
